About

Hi, I’m Karina.

I’m half British, half Danish. I was raised bilingually in the UK, with frequent trips to family in Denmark. I studied Mathematics and Management at the University of Manchester and spent most of my twenties living and working in London. Now, I live in Copenhagen (Denmark) with my husband and young daughter.

My family is my happy place. Being my daughter’s mum is one of my favourite things. I feel wildly lucky to have a front-row seat, alongside my best friend, as our daughter grows.

I love to read. Left to my own devices I would probably only read fantasy fiction, but I am part of a wonderful book club that helps broaden my literary horizons.

I have an incurable urge to travel and experience new places. I secretly enjoy the planning process: dreaming about how it should feel, researching different options, curating the trip.

Movement helps me in countless ways. I’ve struggled with consistency but I know that exercise needs to feel fun for me to stick with it. I enjoy running, bouldering and calisthenics.

Close friendships are a special kind of love, in my experience. I’m fortunate to have some amazing friends to travel through life with.

So that’s a bit about me beyond work. If you’d like to see more about what I’m currently working on, click here.
